Installing eCos and the ARM/GNU Toolchain for the Atmel EB55 Eval Board

1. Recommended to make a $HOME/src directory if it doesn't already exist
2. Download arm-ecos to your $HOME/src directory

3. cd $HOME/src

4. tar -xjf arm-ecos.tar.bz2

5. cd arm-ecos

6. ./make-tools.sh

   (depending on machine, will take anywhere from 10-60 min)

• By default the make-tools script will install the GNU toolchain to `$HOME/gnutools'.
• The eCos build directory will be located at `./build/ecos' relative from where the `make-tools.sh' script was run
• Installer will add:

  ECOS_REPOSITORY=$ECOS_INSTALL_LOC/packages
PATH=$PATH:$ECOS_INSTALL_LOC/tools/bin
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/gnutools
